Hi,
My mom says I'm two years old, but she doesn't really know because I'm a rescue dog. This is my third home and I'm finally feeling safe and secure. Mom says I've moved around so much because people don't really understand how much care it takes to have a Bulldog. I don't know about that, but I'm glad I'm living here now. I'm bigger than the average Bulldog. The people at the vet's office call me Wildman because I'm so active and jumpy. They tell me that a Bulldog is not like that. I don't know why I'm bigger and more energetic; I just am.
One of my two most favorite things to do is to chase the lawn mower. I will run up and down the fence as the neighbor drives past. It is so hot here now that Mom has to put me inside when people mow the grass. I don't handle the heat very well, and I almost got too hot back in July. She lets me get down on the steps of the swimming pool to cool off and I have a wading pool for when she isn't around. I really don't like the heat that much. I'm spending lots of time inside the basement on the cool floor right now. ...

Having a safe and secure home is really a wonderful thing. I'm so lucky to finally be with people that will take care of me and protect me. Mom says that if it weren't for people like you, none of us would be safe. She says you are far away in a place that is much hotter than Alabama and that it isn't very safe there. I sure hope that you get to go to a cool, safe place very soon.
Mom says that you don't get to be with your family or your dog right now either. That must be very hard for you.
I know it's not the same, and I'm not your dog, but people tell me I'm funny and that I make them laugh. I'm sending you my picture so you can see me and maybe laugh and feel better. I am very partial to the picture with the apple. I love to eat apples. Really I just love to eat, but the apple was what Mom gave me! Come home soon and safe so your dog can be happy again!

Love, Dozier Gray
