Hello,
My name is Helga and I live in Brookwood, AL. I have three friends: Moses, a Miniature Pincher; Dozier, an English Bulldog; Doodle Bug, a Bassett Hound. We all live in a nice, big yard with lots of shade trees and a tall fence. We have squirrels that attack the bird feeder when Mom isn*t looking. It*s my job to put a stop to that nonsense. The squirrels cheat though because they stay on top of the pool fence and we can*t get to them.

I patrol the fence every morning and evening looking for anything suspicious. Once I had to protect the yard from a snapping turtle about the size of a dinner plate. Dad got a five gallon bucket and a shovel and moved it across the road to a wooded place. We also have lots of little lizards that live in the ivy on the back of the house. I have to constantly patrol that area or the lizards will run loose in the yard. I have to protect the yard for Mom and Dad. ...

My mom says that you are far away in a very dangerous place doing just what I do for her. She says you are patrolling and protecting us so I can have a nice yard with big trees. She says that what you do is very hard because you have to be far away from your family and friends, even your dog. She said I should send you these pictures and tell you that even though I*m not your dog, I hope that they make you smile. My favorite picture is the one of me smelling the air.
